Spider-Man – Across the Spider Verse has netted more than $120.5M in its opening weekend, putting it just behind The Super Mario Bros Movie as the year’s second biggest opening weekend of 2023.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is a 2023 American computer-animated superhero film produced by Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation in association with Marvel Entertainment, and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing. It is the sequel to the 2018 film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and is the second installment in the Spider-Verse film franchise. The film is directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson, who co-wrote the screenplay with Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and David Callaham. The film features the voices of Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Miles Morales, Issa Rae, Oscar Isaac, Jake Johnson, and John Mulaney.
The sequel to 2018’s Spider-Man – Into the Spider-Verse sees Miles Morales travel across the multiverse to team up with Gwen Stacy and other Spider-People to stop a powerful new villain. In our review last week, we hailed Across the Spider-Verse as a must-see, especially if you’re a fan of the web-slinger.
